The Science, Mathematics and Technology Cluster – LBELL group, is looking for a Research Fellow to work on cutting-edge brain-inspired computing research as a member of the group that includes Tow-Chong Chong, Desmond Loke and Yu Jiang.  There will be a possibility to work with external collaborators for the deployment of brain-inspired computing algorithms. The candidate will join an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative team of Scientists and Engineers. Will be responsible for enhancing the LBELL group's capability in brain-inspired computing development, and design of algorithms, overseeing model development and technology use, maintenance, and troubleshooting; communicating results to the scientific community through publications and presentations; and supervising undergraduate students and laboratory technicians.

Job requirements

Required: a Ph.D. in mathematics, computer science or a related field; prior experience with machine learning, programming is required; experience with software system; strong interpersonal and oral presentation skills; self-motivation; and attention to detail. Must be able to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment, contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team, execute detailed technical procedures meticulously, and prioritise and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment. Supervisory experience is preferred.
