The post-doc position will perform research and development work on geometric modeling and computer-aided design technologies, as applied to design for additive manufacturing (DFAM). Research on geometric modeling and reasoning, structural and topology optimization, and computational materials design are all of interest. Metal materials are of primary interest. In addition to software development and good programming skills, the candidate should have experience in some or all of the following subjects: geometric modeling, mechanical design, CAD, AM, computational mechanics, finite element analysis, and structural or topology optimization.
