Research Fellow (Flexible Electronics)

A Research Fellow ​ position is available at School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

We are looking for a passionate and capable individual to work on research in flexible bioelectronic devices. The Research Fellow is required to report experimental results and assist the Principal Investigator in preparing progress reports and research proposals. The Research Fellow should be able to independently conduct research with strong self-motivation and exploration spirit.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and fabric bioelectronic devices for neural interfaces & electrophysiology studies

• Regularly perform materials synthesis and characterization

• Flexible and stretchable electronics design, fabrication, and characterization

• Implantable electrode design, fabricate & characterizations

• Electrophysiological signals (e.g. EMG, ECG, CMAP, CNAP) analysis

Job Requirements: 

• ​Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields

• Expertise in soft, stretchable, and stimuli-responsive integrated electrodes especially suitable for on-skin and implantable applications.

• Well trained in polymer material, organic/inorganic hybrid materials synthesis and materials characterization.

• Familiar with various mechanical properties characterizations

• Expertise in electrophysiological signals (e.g. EMG, ECG, CMAP, CNAP) analysis.

• Commitment to scientific research
