The joint research group of Asst. Prof. Wang Bo (https://istd.sutd.edu.sg/people/faculty/angela-wang-bo ) and Asst. Prof. Mohan Rajesh (https://epd.sutd.edu.sg/people/faculty/mohan-rajesh-elera ) at Singapore University of Technology and Design invites applications for the position of Research Fellow on a project on event-based object recognition for robotic vision. The project is to utilize an event-based camera to enable robotic vision during high-speed crawling-rolling motion and day-night operation. The candidate will work with a team and develop a Spiking Neural Network (SNN) model/framework with respect to event streams from the dynamic vision camera and apply it to the existing robot prototype for successful object detection. 

Applicants should obtain or are likely to obtain a PhD degree shortly in Engineering or Computer Science with a strong programming skill. Background with either event-based computer vision experience or SNN-related application/algorithm development will be a strong plus.
