Research Fellow (Environmental Engineering)

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To lead and manage onsite monitoring program, with responsibilities includes, but not limited to, onsite operation, sampling and analysis, reporting etc.

  • Oversee the monitoring site, carry out routine instrument maintenance and calibration.

  • Be familiar with data processing to develop standard N2O measurement protocols.

  • Assist in wastewater and GHG related modelling work.

  • Liaise with funding agency and collaborators, prepare reports and meeting presentations.

  • Help to supervise graduate students and contribute to proposal writing.

Job Requirements: 

  • Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields

  • Prior experience in wastewater treatment operation, as well as skills to work independently in an outdoor environment is highly favorable.

  • Experience in onsite hands-on work and reactor operations.

  • Prior experience in wastewater-related modelling work will be preferred.

  • Project management and data analytic skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
