Research Fellow (Engineering)

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is hiring a Research Fellow to conduct research work on DED Metal Additive Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Conduct Material and Process Characterization for a new DED powder material and machine process development research.

• Develop DOE for DED process, employ Machine Learning methods for optimizing DED process.

• Fabricate specimens for DED experiments for metallurgical and Mechanical testing research.

• Work on a state-of-the-art DED process

Job Requirements:  

• PhD degree in Engineering

• Experience with DED material and process development

• Machine Learning application to Optimize process parameters.

• Materials Characterization, Mechanical Testing and Analysis (Shear Tests, Wear Tests)
