As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on a research project where you will be part of the research team to conduct research on federated learning for beyond 5G or 6G communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
  • Undertake these responsibilities in the project:
  • Conduct literature research
  • Carry out research on developing fair, efficient and secure federated learning solutions for beyond 5G or 6G Communication systems.  
  • Disseminating the outcomes of research in peer-reviewed journals

Job Requirements:

  • Have a degree in wireless communications, signal processing, machine learning or a closely related field in Electrical/Electronic /Computer Engineering. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree are preferred.
  • Have hands-on competence in the areas of deep learning and artificial intelligence. Experience is federated learning is a plus.
  • Good programming skills in Python/C++/MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications and networks.
  • Good publication track record.
