As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. 

As part of the 5G Trans Lab@SIT, the primary responsibility of this role is to analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and enhance the performance of 5G radio access networks, to enable consistent quality of service (QoS) requirements of various 5G applications and use cases that are developed at the 5G Trans Lab in collaboration with industry partners

Key Responsibilities:

As a radio access network Research Fellow/Engineer, you will need to closely coordinate and work with the PI. The major responsibilities include:

  • establishing networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system performance
  • monitoring, and analyzing network performance, proposing, designing and implementing new solutions for performance enhancement, and improving resilience of the network environment
  • troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades for network work optimization
  • developing and supporting implementation and validation of innovative use cases

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant PhD/Master’s degree in wireless communications/wireless networks
  • Working knowledge in 5G systems
  • Working experience in wireless systems and networks. Related experience in 4G/5G/WiFi will be added advantage
  • Ability to work independently.
