As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop new plant-based proteins and its derivatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluation of solution characteristics and product quality.

2. Application of membrane filtration in product separation and purification.

3. Investigation of concentration polarization, fouling, and trade-off effects.

4. Membrane material and membrane selection and possible surface modification.

5. Optimization of operating conditions, membrane configuration, membrane equipment, and process protocols.

5. Study of assisted filtration processes in improving productivity and selectivity.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related fields.      

2. Sound knowledge in unit operations and separation technologies, especially membrane technologies.

3. Experience in process design and analytical instruments.

4. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good problem-solving skills.
