Key Responsibilities:

The Research Fellow shall conduct research work on a few important topics listed as below for critical event monitoring and situation awareness for resilient cyber-physical systems

  • Studying on feasibility and limitation of using existing devices in risk detection and situation awareness in cyber-physical systems, especially power systems.
  • Studying and developing methods for risk detection and situation awareness by using information from multiple different sources.
  • Developing algorithms and simulation programs for evaluating and improving the performance of the existing schemes when under incomplete/inaccurate information;
  • Developing fault-tolerant scheme designs that work for distributed systems and generating corresponding performance evaluation results.
  • Identifying critical situation awareness needed in system recovery.
  • Study results to be presented as publications, reports, simulation programs and simulation results.
