Research Fellow (Drug Delivery)

Updated: 10 days ago
Location: Singapore,
Job Type: FullTime

The School of Materials Science & Engineering invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

With Immunotherapies, one challenge for intracellular delivery is to overcome the cell membrane barrier as well as the problem of endosomal entrapment, where delivery vehicles containing antibody are uptaken and eventually degraded. The delivery methods currently employed to tackle these key challenges, exhibit significant limitations, including low efficiency, size restrictions on encapsulated substances, and dose-dependent cytotoxicity. To solve these issues, we aim to use a versatile delivery platform based on peptide coacervate microdroplets (PCMs) formulation and validate in vivo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the progress of projects.

  • Assist in student supervision attached to this project.

  • Summarize the research project by providing monthly report.

  • Knowledge in drug delivery and invivo experiment to help to complete the project.

Requirements:

  • PhD qualification in biology and/or Materials Science, or a related field

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Candidates with experience in these fields (drug delivery system, Immunotherapy, intracellular delivery, in vivo experience, nanoparticles formulation and characterisation, nanomedicine) are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Enthusiastic and keen to conduct high impact, focused research.

  • Good track record in research.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
