Job Description

 

The Research Fellow (Postdoc) will conduct research in the field of coastal engineering, in terms of coupling of different types of wave signals such as ship wakes, wind waves and tidal current. The propagation of coastal waves in the sloped bed will be considered. Numerical simulations and computational fluid dynamics modelling will be conducted.


Job Requirements

 

 

•    Possess a PhD with related research experience.
•    Candidates with background in coastal and ocean engineering, especially with experience and knowledge in CFD, OpenFOAM, wave theories, ship wakes, and coastal processes are encouraged to apply.  
•    Excellent written and spoken communications and able to present results effectively.
•    Strong quantitative and writing skills are required.
•    A good publication record is advantageous.
•    Open to fixed-term contract
