Job Description

 

•    Lead a team of research staffs and collaborators to design, plan, implement and actively carry out a research project in a coastal location.
•    Responsible for the collection of good quality remote sensing data.
•    Perform hydrodynamics simulations using numerical models for vast coastal area.
•    Develop original software for data fusion and output visualization.
•    Summarize the findings in the project and lead the production of high-quality research reports.

 

 

 


Job Requirements

 

•    Possess a PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related disciplines.
•    Preferably 6 years of research experience in water resources and coastal engineering, including expertise in hydrological and hydrodynamics modeling.
•    At least a few years of experience in performing imagery data acquisition and field measurement related works with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
•    At least a few years of experience in artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms focused on image processing and software development.
•    At least few years of experience in spear heading research in the coastal environment domain.
•    Has prior strong publication records on remote sensing and UAV related areas.
•    Highly motivated individual who is able to work independently or work in teams when needed.
•    Good communication skills & team player.
•    Strong interest in research work, field survey and site supervision.
•    Highly driven, independent, and resourceful.
•    In possession of an Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License (UAPL) to operate multi-rotor unmanned aircrafts, from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
•    Highly proficient in both written and spoken communication.
•    Open to fixed-term contract.
