Research Fellow (Civil Engineering)

A two-year Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. CEE is a World-leading school in sustainability and built environment. CEE plays an integral role in spearheading tertiary education, advancing research innovations and providing professional services in a number of key disciplines in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Maritime Studies fields, with the objective of contributing to the technological and economic advancement of Singapore and beyond.

Job Description:

• Conduct laboratory tests on soil stabilization

• Write project reports and scientific papers

• Assist the PI in writing research proposals

• Supervise students

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Civil Engineering specialized in Geotechnical Engineering from reputable universities/institutions

• Research experience in soil stabilization with cementitious binders

• Strong publication record in reputable journals

•  Experienced in fundamental tests for construction materials (e.g. XRD, SEM, MIP, TGA, and FTIR)

• Good English writing and communication skills

• Experience in supervising research students and writing research proposals

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives
