Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof. Liu Xiaogang on the development of light-emitting nanodevices under a project on Nanoantenna light-emitting devices.


The main responsibilities of the position include:

•    To independently undertake research in the development of high-performance light-emitting nanodevices.
•    To lead the production of research reports and publications as required by the grantor.
•    To assist PI in supervising the students involved in the project. 
•    To undertake any other duties relevant to the research project.

 


Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline:  

  • PhD in materials chemistry, optical physics, chemical engineering, or strongly related fields.
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated a high level of formal written and oral communication skills.
  • Evidence of contributions to research including peer-reviewed publications. 

Skills:

  • UV-Vis spectroscopy, TEM, SEM, Circular dichroism spectra, Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry, bright/dark field microscope design, interference microscope design, etc.

Experience:  

  • Experience in the preparation and characterization of luminescent nanomaterials including organic-inorganic hybrid materials, as well as nanodevice fabrication.
