Research Fellow (Chemical Biology/Drug Delivery/Nanomedicine)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow (RF) position in the research field of Chemical Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• The design and synthesis of biological probes for drug delivery and nanomedicine

• Perform cell activity regulation experiments for bioimaging and biosensing

• Lead research project under the direction of Principal Investigator (PI) and present significant progress towards the deliverables

• Lead all aspects related to biological probes design and analysis

• Support equipment/material procurement, writing project progress reports, prepare presentations in official external and internal technical meetings

• Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines

• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the project PI

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or any related field

• Solid background and knowledgeable in chemical biology and/or design and development of biological probes and/or cell activity regulation and/or drug delivery and nanomedicine will be preferred

• Experienced in using relevant chemistry lab equipment and analytical techniques such as western blot, flow cytometry, MS, HPLC, NMR, confocal microscope, absorbance, fluorescence

• High-quality and relevant scientific publications, patents and IP will be preferred

• Highly motivated individual who has the ability to initiate experiments and propose new ideas

• Excellent laboratory, leadership and planning skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse, cross disciplinary research and development environment

• Min. 3 years of experience
