Job Description

The Genome and Data Analytics Core (GeDaC) at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI) is actively seeking talented individuals for positions in Genomic Data Science and Bioinformatics. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology to advance cancer genomics research and precision oncology.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with software engineering experts to build and optimize components of the cloud-based (AWS) platform for automated processing and analysis of large cancer genomics datasets.

  • Provide on-demand bioinformatics support for CSI/NUS investigators.

  • Participate in diverse and innovative projects, applying biological and technical expertise.

  • Contribute to state-of-the-art machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) and big data initiatives, such as developing APIs for scalable cancer genome analytics.

  • Collaborate with local and multinational industrial stakeholders to expand skills and networks.


  • Qualifications
    • Masters or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in genomic data analysis, preferably in a research or industry setting.
    • Track record of publications and/or projects in the field of cancer genomics or related areas.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
