Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Job Description

The successful candidate will work on a project associated with development on crop cultivation practices with enhanced nutritional quality and fewer inputs.

We are looking for a self-initiated, energetic research fellow to join the group with background and interest in both experimental and  computational biology and in handling large biological/molecular data-sets. He will work with a cross-disciplinary team to build and develop guided models for plant and microbial metabolic networks.

He/She will be required to use a combination of metabolic models and AI/ML driven models of biomolecules. We will use experimentally generated data analysed using  machine-learning techniques to build such data-driven models which in turn can inform emergent structure and produce predictions.

He/She will be expected to work with other team members, join in experimental planning and actively support research for other teams as and when required based on project requirements. He/She will be expected to plan and execute his tasks independently and contribute towards peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals.

Qualifications

1.    Ph.D. degree in systems biology, biotechnology, engineering, computing or mathematical sciences, metabolic flux modeling.
2.    1-3 years of working experience in developing and interpreting either process-based or phenomenological models, demonstrated through at least 2 peer-reviewed research publications.
3.    Relevant working experience in generating, processing, and interpreting systems-biology datasets demonstrated through peer-reviewed research publications.
