Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead experimental projects in designing and synthesizing electrode materials for low temperature supercapacitors.

  • Conduct systematically electrochemical evaluation of supercapacitor electrode materials and devices,

  • Develop scalable materials preparation methodology,

  • Develop electrolytes for ultra-low temperature supercapacitor applications,

  • Perform fabrication of supercapacitor cells for low temperature operation,

  • Conduct systematic characterization of the electrode materials and electrolytes,

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluation of performance of the low temperature supercapacitors.

 Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, or closely-related disciplines

  • Advanced working knowledge of battery energy storage and storage technologies.

  • Experience with nanoscopic characterization tools and methods such as e.g. TEM/SEM, XRD, EDX microscopy etc

  • Good track record of scientific publications in international peer reviewed journals

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives.
