Job Description
The Research Fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) for material development in AM using data-driven approaches. The duties of this position include:
• Carrying out literature reviews
• Planning and executing experiments
• Analysing and interpreting the experiment data collected
• Developing simulations and algorithms
• Writing progress reports, research publications and general documentation of results
Qualifications
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing (eg. powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition)
• Experience with data analytics, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence
• Experience related to material characterisation and mechanical testing will be advantageous
• Knowledge of other domains within Industry 4.0 will be advantageous
• Self-motivated, good team player
