Research Engineer (Materials)

1.    Electrical characterisation experiments: operation of a probe station, electrical breakdown/ failure measurements
2.    Electrical device fabrication
3.    Introduction to data analysis of breakdown measurements
4.    Exposure to the state of the art of electronic technology and materials research, both academic and in industry
5.    Conduct literature survey on proposed chemistries/ processes/ approaches
6.    Assist to carry out experiment, acquire and record data
7.    Perform data analysis and generate technical reports
8.    Present and discuss with local and overseas project team (Applied Materials USA) on technical progress and future plans
9.    Resource planning and technical procurement

1.    Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science/ Chemistry/ Electrical Engineering/ Physics or equivalent
2.    Good knowledge of fundamental electronics
3.    Demonstrated interest in research
4.    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
5.    Good multi-tasking skills and ability to set priorities in a fast, dynamic environment
6.    Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and data analysis software
