Research Engineer II (Electrical Engineering)

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERIAN) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer II. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform power electronics circuits simulations with appropriate details
  • Create technical documentations for design and concepts
  • Design hardware power converter circuitry, PCB boards
  • Build microcontroller programs for testing
  • Build hardware and design experiments to troubleshoot
  • Lead the assembly and testing of prototype
  • Work with external partners in testbedding and productization
  • Support in project purchases, creating posters and presentations
  • Manage equipment in the lab and their usage
  • Support Directors for new programme proposal and pitching


Job Requirements: 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (with major in Power Electronics). Other candidates with industrial and technology commercialization experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferably 5 years of working experience or equivalent as a Power System Specialist
  • Experience with electric vehicle, battery and renewable energy technologies, international standards and project implementation
  • Familiar with prototyping and productization process
  • Possess good business development skill, strong leadership qualities and have good communication skills
