S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence is a university laboratory at NTU focusing on research and development of cutting-edge AI technologies in computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, deep learning, and distributed computing. We aim to create impactful applications spanning various strategic areas in partnership with academic, industry, and government organizations.

Job Description:

We are seeking a researcher engineer to join S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence. Successful candidates will develop web applications and Proof of Concept (POC) using advanced deep learning algorithms.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain web applications/platforms
  • Specific duties include but are not limited to ensuring the quality and performance of the applications/platforms, identifying and fixing application bugs, write technical documentation, maintaining the core code, and implementing updates to the application/platform

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiarity with desktop and mobile applications development
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Swift, Python) or JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, SQLite), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Experience in writing testable and maintainable codebases
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in computer vision or machine learning a plus
