A Research Engineer position is available in the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) Pillar, Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore. The Research Engineer will be involved in researching and developing AI models and algorithms for natural language processing and generation. The Research Engineer will support the research for the project titled: Feedback Analytics and Auto-Reply Project. 

Job Responsibilities

• Implement algorithms for processing and unstructured textual data.
• Work with other researchers and PhDs to develop AI applications related to natural language processing and generation.
• Develop analytical visualization dashboards and prototype systems.

Job Requirements

The successful applications are expected to possess Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering from experience in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

• Coding Skills:
  • Familiar with any of the major deep learning libraries, including Pytorch and TensorFlow.
  • Familiar with at least one web development framework (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Flask, etc.)
  • Familiar with SQL and Hadoop is a plus.
  • Comfortable with Linux environment, including using vim, git, tmux, bash, etc.
