The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development of the end-to-end learning-based navigation algorithm for high-speed autonomous driving.

  • Involve sensor fusion, perception, trajectory prediction and behavior planning, test rig set-up, and experimental validation.

Job Requirements: 

  • At least have a Master Degree in Vehicle Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, AI, etc.

  • Strong background in autonomous driving, robotics, vehicle dynamics, control and automation.

  • Relevant research or working experience in autonomous driving, vehicle dynamics, and control will be preferred.

  • Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision.

  • Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills.

  • Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines
