Research Associate (Law and Governance, Biosecurity and Global Health)

Job Description
The Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS) at the National University of Singapore Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health is seeking a Research Associate to support the Law and Governance Program. The Asia Centre for Health Security is a newly established academic think tank that seeks to promote and strengthen health security in Asia. The RA would support work on law and governance aspects of biosecurity, public/global health and/or artificial intelligence, with a focus on Asia.

The candidate will be expected to carry out research, write reports and publications, and support the ongoing work of the program, including events. The RA will be expected to work independently under the supervision of Centre Leadership and in interaction with other Centre members.

Requirement
Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate degree in law and a master’s degree in biotechnology, biosecurity, public health, global health or other related fields. An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
• Knowledge/experience in the fields of law and biosecurity/public health/artificial intelligence.
• Outstanding research skills.
• Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent, reliable, well-organized, meticulous to detail, focused.
• A keen interest in advancing health security in Asia.
