Research Associate (Computer

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate. 

Key Responsibilities: 

The Research Associate will work on the respective areas of reliable network-on-chip (NoC), fault-tolerant NoC, dynamically reconfigurable NoC, photonic NoC, and non-volatile memory. It can be further extended to edge computing and machine learning related topics, including but not limited to the following topics:

• Explore the adaptivity of NoC designs for emerging machine learning applications

• Extend the proposed methods to supercomputers and data centers

• Implement these algorithms and experiments for scalable on-chip communication architecture, application mapping and scheduling for heterogeneous multiprocessors

• Collaborate with other team member(s) for more efficient outcome delivery

• The initial contract should be 1 year, while it is extensible subject to performance.

Job Requirements: 

• Master’s degree or above in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic Engineering at a top-tier university. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Experienced applicants are preferred.

• Experience in deep learning, machine learning, design automation, embedded systems, real-time systems, computer architecture, computer-aided design, etc. or related fields

• Research on different deep-learning and machine-learning based algorithms and applications

• Implement the algorithms and experiments for the application level

• Analyze the complexity of different algorithms and perform evaluation on different application-level metrics.

• Collaborate with other team member(s) for more efficient outcome delivery.

• Perform administrative works assigned by the PI to ensure the smoothness of the project

• Good spoken and written English
