Job Description

 

•    Support the development of policy-relevant, multidisciplinary, and impactful research on nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation, particularly for the coastal environment.
•    Responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of research projects, collaborating with external partners, managing funding proposals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
•    Responsible for project administrative duties including fund requisition, disbursement, auditing and financial reporting.  
•    Conduct literature reviews, critique journals and reports, and assist in experimental and field work if necessary.
•    Analyze research data and prepare insightful presentations for both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
•    Collaborate with external parties, funding agencies, and fellow researchers to develop comprehensive research proposals.
•    Understand the needs of researchers, international partners, and funding agencies to tailor proposals accordingly.
•    Draft legal agreements and liaise with the Legal and Secretarial Office to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•    Work closely with government agencies, industry partners, and external vendors to plan and execute research projects.
•    Obtain necessary permits and documentation, manage project budgets, and present project findings to stakeholders.
•    Summarize the findings in this project and assist in the production of high-quality research reports.

 


Job Requirements


•    Possess at least a Masters degree in natural science, climate science, engineering, or a related field.
•    At least 8 years of experience in project management.
•    Proven track record in proposal development and successful project execution.
•    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail.
•    Highly motivated individual who is able to work independently.
•    Good communication skills & a team player.
•    Experience working with government agencies and industry partners.
•    Familiarity with legal agreements and compliance requirements.
•    Highly proficient in both spoken and written communication
•    Open to fixed-term contract
