Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop machine learning approaches to predict intercalation and fracture in epithelial cell tissue

  • Generation of synthetic data via an in-house code

  • Analysis of synthetic and experimental data

  • Investigation of the convergence dynamics of machine learning algorithm

  • Investigation of the influence of noise in the input data

  • Collaborate with computational and experimental colleagues to interpret the results

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Physics or Engineering

  • Experience with numerical packages, C++ and Python

  • Basic knowledge of deep neural network

  • Able to work in interdisciplinary research environment

  • Able to conduct research autonomously
