Opportunity for cutting-edge research in Transportation and Urban Planning Studies
The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) seeks to fill a Research Assistant position in the area of Transportation and Urban Planning Studies in the MOE-founded “Cities - Data driven design solutions for cities”. The project aims at designing and enhancing human interactions of diverse population groups in Southeast Asian cities using data driven technologies and machine learning, focusing on transportation, multi-centricity, and sustainable urban public spaces.
Job responsibilities
Job responsibilities include performing a variety of statistical and machine learning analyses (computer vision), writing research reports, collecting and maintaining databases, and providing research-related programming support.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or another closely-related discipline with a focus in AI/Machine Learning/Big Data. Previous experience as a research analyst or pursuing independent research is preferred. Solid programming skills in Python/R are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
