The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is looking for a research assistant to support the Aviation Studies Institute on a temporary basis as maternity cover.

The successful candidate will work to development of early version software prototypes, system architectures and preform analysis of regional aviation operations. These activities will primarily contribute to the examination of regional collaborative air-traffic management, for network-wide benefits.

An ideal candidate will have a degree with expertise in one (or) more of the following areas:

  • Operations Research, with familiarity in optimization;
  • Computer Science, with a familiarity in design and analysis of algorithms;
  • Data analytics, with familiarity in predictive and econometric models;
  • Simulation and data visualization.

    • An ability to perform software programming / scripting is essential (R, Python, or other), with familiarity of ‘R’ preferred.

    A background or interest in aviation will be favorable, but prior knowledge of the domain is not a pre-requisite.

    The Aviation Studies Institute supports stakeholders with the modernization of aviation across the Asia Pacific. The work performed by the candidate will lead to applied outcomes for use by the aviation industry.
