Research Assistant, School of Computing

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: Searching for fundamental results and insights, developing novel computational solutions to a wide range of applications, building large-scale experimental systems and improving the well-being of society. We seek to play an active role both internationally and locally in the core and emerging areas of Computer Science and Information Systems.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more research projects. He/she should possess experience or interest in at least one of the following research areas:

• Design novel machine learning models for problems arising in drug response prediction
• Conduct computational experiments to evaluate models with genomic data.
• Write research manuscripts in collaboration with the PI.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related areas. Preferably enrolled in a PhD program.
• Strong technical background in deep learning, graph representation learning and genomics.
• Strong publication record in top-tier machine learning and bioinformatics conferences and/or journals.
• Proficiency in programming in python and deep learning libraries.
• Good spoken and written communication in English.
