The Science, Mathematics and Technology cluster at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) seeks a suitable candidate for the position of Research Assistant/Research Associate on a 4 to 6 months contract for physics and design education pedagogy research.
Project Title: Towards a Design-Centric Freshmore Physics Classroom Through the Reverse Engineering Pedagogy
Project Introduction: Applying physical principles is critical for the rational and quantitative designs of various products with tailored performances. We aim to create this connection through the introduction and the evaluation of the reverse engineering pedagogy in the Freshmore physics classrooms. We aim to evaluate the students’ ability to connect between physical first principles and product designs, to apply their engineering knowledge in product designs in a more meaningful way, and to understand physics at a deeper level.
Requirements
A Bachelor/Masters degree related to education and/or engineering
