Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with expertise in polymer chemistry and electrochemistry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in polymer chemistry and electrochemical techniques, with experience in preparing polymer composites and devices for energy storage and sensor/actuator applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Utilize expertise in polymer chemistry and electrochemistry to prepare polymer composites and devices for energy storage, electroactive sensor, and actuator applications.
•    Conduct experiments to analyze and characterize polymer materials using various characterization techniques, including spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis.
•    Apply electrochemical techniques to study the electrochemical properties of energy storage materials and devices.
•    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and process materials using chemical and thermal fabrication approaches.
•    Assist in research activities, including experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
•    Support group activities and contribute to a collaborative research environment.
•    Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.


Qualifications

•    Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
•    Strong background in polymer chemistry and electrochemistry.
•    Experience in energy storage devices is preferred.
•    Experience in organic chemistry is preferred.
•    Familiarity with polymer materials and their thermal and chemical properties.
•    Proficiency in characterization techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis.
•    Proficient in laboratory safety protocols and practices.
•    Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•    Demonstrated leadership skills.
