Research Assistant (Physical Education & Sports Science Academic Group) [NIE]

The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 17-month contract at the Physical Education & Sports Science Academic Group.

Project Title: Mindfulness and complex pattern recognition

Project Introduction: In this project, the link between mindfulness and complex pattern recognition will be examined. The research will use different research methods including online experiments, laboratory experiments and survey, among others.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in sport science and management, computer science or psychology.

• Programming skills or an interest in programming is required.  

• Candidates with Python, R or JavaScript competencies will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire research process, which will include:

• Literature review

• Research ethics application

• Preparation of protocol

• Report writing

• Data analysis

• Other administrative duties may be assigned.

• The research assistant is expected to use programming extensively in his/her work.
