Research Assistant [LKCMedicine]

The Research Assistant position is required to conduct research and development work related to the project “Novel methods of network modelling and personalised machine learning to understand and predict individual dementia using heterogeneous multi-omics data”.

The Research Assistant (RA) shall take charge of research & developments on projects related to the above. The RA shall participate in all aspects pertaining to the research and development of the project. In particular, the project officer shall take charge of recruiting and testing participants, perform data collection and analysis, summarize the findings in project reports and present the update of the project in slides. Apart from working on technical aspects of research projects, he/she will also take charge of general matters for the projects, including keeping track of the progress of the project, managing part-time undergraduate student assistants, communicating with the research team, and liaising with collaborators.

Key competencies and qualifications requirements:

• BSc degree in Psychology, Economics, Science, Engineering or related fields

• Familiar with survey studies and psychological/behavioural experiments

• Knowledge of statistical software packages including R, SAS or SPSS

• Knowledge of programming languages including Matlab, Python, and/or C++

• Good English writing and communication skills, independently and as a team player
