Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof. Zhou Weibiao on chemical and microbiological experiments, as well as data analysis under a project on ‘Impact of high-pressure processing on quality, nutritional and microbial safety properties of vegetable juices made from local produce to minimise food waste’.


The main responsibilities of the position include –

• Experimental planning
• Conducting experiments involving high pressure processing
• Enumerating microbial loads and evaluating the chemical quality of juice before and after processing and during storage
• Statistical analysis of experimental data


• Qualifications / Discipline:
BSc degree in Food Science & Technology or a closely related field


• Skills:
Wet-lab skills
Data analysis skills
Critical thinking skills
Creative problem-solving skills


• Experience:  
Microbiological and/or chemical research experience
