Applications are invited for the following full-time position:

Research Assistant

Professor Vivien Lim at the Department of Management and Organisation in NUS Business School is hiring a Research Assistant. We would like to invite a bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree holder to join as a full-time Research Assistant (RA) for a term of approximately 18 months to assist Professor Vivien Lim with her research projects.


Job Responsibilities

Some research topics include impact of IT on work, cyberloafing, and workplace health. Interested applicants with strong quantitative skills and prior research experiences are encouraged to apply for this position.  

The specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist and lead research projects (impact of IT on work, cyberloafing, and workplace health)
  • Recruit and coordinate with participants on project interviews/ surveys
  • Conduct literature review
  • Conduct face-to-face interviews and administer surveys on study participants
  • Collect, compile and analyse data at various stages of the study
  • Attend and contribute to research project meetings and discussions
  • Support research design
  • Draft research papers, reviews and reports

Requirements
  • Able to start work soonest possible
  • Preferably has experience in research work/ Honors thesis;
  • Ability to write well and has good communication skills
  • Is motivated, conscientious, with a professional attitude towards work
  • Quick in learning and creative in providing solutions;
  • Independent, self-starter with initiative and commitment
  • Knowledge of using statistical software such as R, SPSS, STATA, or SAS;
  • Mastery of word and excel;
  • Graduate/ graduating student. An undergraduate degree in psychology, social sciences, or other related fields.

    Appointments will be on a term-contract of approximately 18 months, and renewable when necessary. Remuneration is on a monthly basis. Salary will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications , track record, potential, experience.
