Job Description

The NUS Business School's Management and Organisation Department is seeking a Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant to support our faculty members in a wide range of research studies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the recruitment of study participants, management of data collection, and preliminary data analyses. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with faculty on exploring potential data sources and utilizing advanced research methodologies. The role is designed to serve as a bridge into a PhD program, providing hands-on experience in all stages of research production. 


Responsibilities
  • Assist with the creation and execution of research studies, including the recruitment of participants and data management. This entails utilizing Qualtrics for the distribution of online surveys and other data collection tools as required.
  • Explore potential data sources and conduct preliminary analyses to support research objectives.
  • Coordinate with team members and faculty to ensure the smooth running of research projects.

Required Qualification
  • Academic Background: Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Computational Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Research Experience: Demonstrated experience in conducting research, with a preference for those who have actively participated in research projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity in using online platforms such as Qualtrics for online survey distribution and data collection.

Additional Desirable Attributes
  • Computational Proficiency: Skills in computational methods, including data scraping and handling large datasets, are highly valued.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Familiarity with basic data analysis techniques and software, with the ability to apply these skills to research data.
