Job Description

The candidate will work at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials at the National University of Singapore. The candidate will be working in a highly international and multidisciplinary environment.
This position requires a proactive professional, with a wide vision from the academy through the industries, to:

  • Perform assigned tasks using standardised procedures or detailed verbal or written instructions
  • Initiate, improve, and revise chemical laboratory operations and test procedures when appropriate
  • Prepare chemical solutions
  • Prepare enzymatic functionalisation
  • Perform laboratorial analytical tests
  • Implement developed techniques for the identification of improvements to meet specific product specifications
  • Have excellent chemical laboratory/safety practices
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English


Candidates must hold an internationally-recognised Bachelor, Master's or PhD degree in the areas related to chemistry or bio-chemistry. Additionally, it would be a bonus if the candidate has experience with clean room chemistry activity, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemistry.
