The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Pillar of Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD).

Responsibility. The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and his study team in the areas of AI-based communication systems. An emphasis will be placed on building explainable AI models for signal modulation classification in the physical layer.

Qualifications

• Have a good Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent from a well-recognized university in a relevant area.
• Programming skills in C/C++ or Python or MATLAB.
• Experience in research.
• General knowledge about machine learning and deep learning
• General knowledge about wireless communication (modulation, coding, etc)

Preference will be given to candidates with experiences with any of the following areas:

• Embedded system/OS kernel development
• Software-defined Radio (such USRP or equivalent)
• Using MATLAB for signal processing.
• Explainable AI methods.
