The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to enhance blast resistance in precast structures. This role contributes to our mission of creating safer, more resilient spaces, aligning with the university's goal of improving the world through innovative engineering solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in our efforts to address significant challenges, aiding in our overarching aim to safeguard communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and analysis to improve blast resistance in precast structures.

  • Developing innovative solutions and methods for enhancing building safety.

  • Collaborating with a team to design and test new materials and construction techniques.

  • Providing expertise on blast effects and mitigation strategies in project planning.

  • Ensuring projects align with safety standards and contribute to the university's mission of innovation and community protection.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related.

  • Understanding of blast effects on structures.

  • Experience in the design, testing, and analysis of precast concrete structures.

  • Skilled in structural analysis software and CAD.

  • Familiar with blast resistance safety standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
