We are seeking to hire a Project Officer (PO) in the Asian School of the Environment at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for an interdisciplinary project at the intersect of engineering, molecular biology and social science.
The PO will support the coordination of an interdisciplinary teams of researchers to a regional model of microplastic distribution and abundance. The PO will oversee procurement, budgeting and managing the overall logistics of the project. The PO may also participate in method development, sample processing and analysis in addition to managing the health and safety policies in the field and laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
Helping to purchase equipment and supplies and managing procurement.
Coordinating the logistics of environmental and laboratory experiments
Maintaining collaborations between the teams operating at the College of Engineering and Science
Supporting laboratory activities and safety
Job Requirements:
BSc in environmental science, biological science or equivalent
Experience with NTU procurement
Knowledge of DNA extraction and quantification
Working knowledge of PCR and basic molecular techniques
