Job Description

The NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) Programme is expanding. NOC Programme Managers are a critical component in the success of the programme in Singapore and abroad. There have been some staff departures recently. To gear up for the expansion of NOC locations, it is necessary for NOC to hire suitably and adequately.

 

  • NOC programme establishment, management and administration
  • Develop, manage and maintain strategic partnerships and network of resources (companies, VCs, incubators, Institutions etc.) in host country/region to further objectives of NOC
  • Work, engage and communicate with companies, students, NUS staff and alumni, partner universities, external agencies and entrepreneurs
  • Assist in establishing relations with start-ups as a means for placing students, developing company-specific offerings and identifying opportunities in experiential learning, internships and post-graduation placement
  • Liaise with NUS departments on curriculum, program issues and coordinate general administrative matters for NOC in Singapore and NOC overseas offices
  • Work with students to understand their entrepreneurial needs, interests and skillsets to ensure a successful internship and start to their entrepreneurial journey
  • Work with other departments within NUS Enterprise, and external stakeholders in building and maintaining an entrepreneurship ecosystem, allowing NUS to position as the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Node
  • Business travel and possible re-location is required.
  • Management of Entrepreneurship Support initiatives, activities, events, programmes and set-ups in host locations wherever applicable.

Qualifications
  • Recognized university degree with at least 3 years working experience
  • Willingness to travel and to be relocated if need be, is a must
  • Regional exposure and experience preferred
  • Technical background or knowledge, and/or experience in startup or own business will be an advantage
  • Mature disposition to deal with senior officials and students
  • Demonstrated experience in program or project management
  • Experience in logistical administration, operational planning and execution of programs and events
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to coach and guide, passionate about education
  • Motivated and disciplined self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of local language in programme host country is a bonus
  • Good command of Chinese language (both spoken and written) is a must for China positions
