The Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) invites applications for the position of Programme Director.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Planning & Management

  • Be an effective partner to the senior management team by contributing to the development of IDMxS’s

  • strategic and operating plans.

  • Work with IDMxS leadership on implementation and review of strategic plans and operational strategies of IDMxS in alignment with its goals and vison.

  • Responsible for implementing an efficient way of tracking of such strategic plans and measurable goals to allow senior leadership to effectively manage and maintain accountability towards these objectives.

  • Be the key liaison person with funding & government agencies, other IHLs and any other IDMxS’s research collaborators for all types of communication and reporting including support of the stakeholder meetings.

  • Ensuring accountability and audit compliance to key internal and external stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance

  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing corporate governance practices in IDMxS.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Identify and implement controls to mitigate risks in all facets of the organisation, including but not limited to, legal, health and safety, intellectual property, cybersecurity and data protection.

  • Review and revise existing internal governance processes and policies to ensure adherence to compliance.

  • Support RCE Director as key point of contact in all compliance audits, internal/external audits including audit preparation and review of audit findings.

  • Consult with and provides feedback to diverse groups of internal/external stakeholders for various matters associated with adherence and implementation of university policies and guidelines.


Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized University

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing academic operations

  • Strong understanding of compliance regulatory laws and regulations (e.g. PDPA, Workplace Safety and Health Act, etc.)

  • Experienced in managing teams, providing coaching support and facilitating professional development

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experienced in resource and project management
