Product Designer for AI Singapore (Makerspace)

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

 
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts. 

AI Singapore (Makerspace) is looking for a product designer to work primarily within our Products Team, which operates in a hybrid model where the designer will get the opportunity to design products for our different AI Hubs like Federated Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision (CV). 

The selected individual will provide product design work, namely in research, discovery, prototyping, and testing for designing ML products and services. 

Duties & Responsibilities 
●    Work with cross functional team, listening and helping the team to rethink and reframe opinions or feature request into problem statements
●    Ability to synthesis research results into design concepts and execute into design deliverables
●    Communicate recommendations, rationalize design decisions, and advocate for users’ needs.
●    Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple, elegant and high on craft that you can be proud of
●    Create and maintain product design documentation 
●    Build and maintain our existing Design System, Facadé
●    Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, user research to ensure a smooth product development process.

●    A recognized degree.
●    Minimum 3 years of experience in visual design and Interaction design
●    Experience working in distributed teams
●    Experience working with multiple products and workflows
●    Experience designing and building applications
●    A portfolio featuring interaction and visual design work
●    Demonstrated experience with end-to-end experience design
●    Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
●    Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
