Postdoctoral Fellow

The successful application is expected undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on building neural networks models for learning audio generation under parametric control and interaction

  • Activates will also include working with a small team of computational modelers, bringing relevant literature to bear

  • Developing new algorithms and implementing deep learning models, and writing

  • Publications for journals and conferences

 

The advertised position is full-time for twelve month, based in Singapore.

  • Full CV, including education, professional background, publications, research activities and achievements, honours and awards, and accomplishments to date

  • A research statement (max. 3 pages) highlighting major accomplishments and short and longer-term research plans, citing up to three significant publications, creative works or other scholarly contributions, and explaining their significance

  • Sample copies of research publications, if available

  • Pointers to any on-line material such as code or applications that are relevant

  • Four letters of reference (including one from the applicant’s PhD or post-doctoral advisor/supervisor) to be arranged by the applicant to be submitted directly by the referees at [email protected]

 


Competencies and Qualifications

We seek applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Computational statistics and machine/deep learning

  • AI platform fluency (Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow)

  • Audio and/or speech signal processing and synthesis

  • Publications in AI, NN, Sound, Speech, or Music journals and conferences

  • For this post-doctoral position, an emerging track record of research publications, ambitious research goals, strong coding skills, and familiarity with computational audio or musical experience would all be relevant
