Part-Time Lecturer

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) is looking for part-time instructors in the areas of Computer Science and Engineering within the College of Engineering.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess minimally a Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, and have extensive industry experience and/or academic experience with a passion for teaching. Instructors are expected to excel at teaching with excellent communication skills and work closely with both faculty and students. As we are expanding our course offerings, we seek versatile individuals who can teach multiple courses at the undergraduate level. Candidates with demonstrable university-level teaching in the following areas will be considered favourably:

• Software Engineering
• Computer Architecture
• Data Analytics
• Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Conduct lectures, tutorials and laboratory duties
• Conduct coursework assessment, grade assignments/quizzes/tests/projects in accordance with the guidelines, criteria and rubrics given
• Provide consultation to students
• Carry out teaching related duties such as marks entry, and invigilation
• Set and mark examination papers
• Carry out reviews on grading and marking when necessary

Teaching Hours

Classes are mainly conducted during the day on weekdays; or on Saturdays for make-up classes (if needed).
