Part-Time Lecturer for DT2010 Digital Compositing

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-time Lecturer for DT2010 Digital Compositing. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in August 2024.

This introductory level course provides students with the fundamental skills required for Digital Compositing, using the software Foundry Nuke. Students will be introduced to industry standard digital processes and gain a creative and technical competency with layering and blend modes, colour correction, rotoscoping, tracking, chroma keying and CGI compositing, as well as artistic considerations in creating a successful composite. These skills will provide a base from which they can expand their skills in further study.

Candidates should have at least a Masters and/or PhD in Animation or related field with a track record of production and creative practice in media. Any past teaching experience at Undergraduate Level is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and sufficient and relevant industry experience may also be considered in exceptional cases.
