Operation and Marketing Assistant, BLOCK71 (12-month Contract)

Startup Incubation:

• Review and interview new startups for incubation in BLOCK71
• Onboard and ensure smooth integration of new startups
• Check in with current startups to understand their issues and needs, and follow up by sharing relevant resources with them
• Assist in external collaborations that could bring new startups into BLOCK71

Hosting visits and events for community building:

• Host visits and tours in BLOCK71, including Mandarin-speaking visits
• Engage relevant startups for upcoming visits to showcase and make connections
• Assist the team in organising events and programmes planning, and provide support as required

Marketing:

• Manage BLOCK71’s social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook) to promote engagement and visibility within the startup ecosystem
• Develop regular content for social media, such as publicity of upcoming events, post-event sharing, and featuring of our startups

Other daily operations:

• Ensure accurate data management of BLOCK71’s startups
• Reporting of startups data and information to track their progress

This is an hourly-rated position.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree with at least 2 to 4 years of working experience in similar capacity
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive individual with a positive work attitude
• Knowledge in marketing, or communications
• Preferably some knowledge in the startup ecosystem
• Effectively bilingual
• Diligent, systematic, and organised
• Meticulous and attentive to details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
